Professional Summary
Mission-driven professional, author, entrepreneur, former Guardian ad Litem volunteer, and creator of the Doodle & Maggie™ children's book series. Passionate about developing innovative resources that strengthen communities, support children, and empower families through advocacy, education, leadership, and compassion.
I am a court reporter, business owner, author, and longtime volunteer child advocate whose work has always centered on people navigating difficult moments — in courtrooms, in family transitions, and in their own careers.
I run an independent court reporting practice, where I produce accurate verbatim records for attorneys and courts while managing scheduling, transcript production, billing, and client relationships. That work gave me a working knowledge of judicial and legal procedure, case documentation, and the standards that keep a proceeding defensible — and it gave me the discipline of meeting deadlines that cannot move.
Alongside reporting, I built StenoTrack, a business management platform for freelance court reporters, and founded Empowered Parent Solutions to give parents practical, plain-language guidance for family court. Both grew from the same instinct: identify where people are losing time, clarity, or confidence, then build something that fixes it.
I have served as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem in two North Carolina judicial districts, written two published books, and spoken publicly on advocacy and family court preparation. Across all of it, I bring steady leadership, careful planning, clear written and spoken communication, and a habit of improving the process rather than just working inside it.
Doodle & Maggie™
Doodle & Maggie™ is an original children's book and educational resource series created by Tuana Inscore to bring comfort, encouragement, and hope to children experiencing life's difficult transitions.
Inspired by her service as a former Guardian ad Litem (GAL) volunteer, the project reflects her long-standing commitment to advocating for children and creating meaningful resources that help children feel safe, supported, and understood.
Designed for children navigating foster care, family changes, court involvement, grief, new caregivers, and other significant life transitions, the Doodle & Maggie™ series combines gentle storytelling, engaging illustrations, coloring activities, and companion resources that encourage resilience, courage, kindness, and hope.
The long-term vision for the project includes illustrated storybooks, educational coloring books, caregiver guides, printable activities, classroom resources, and materials designed to support Guardian ad Litems, educators, counselors, social workers, foster families, law enforcement professionals, and child advocates.
